Our management team consists of individuals whose backgrounds include many years of experience in hospital and collections management and litigation.

Dominic Colangelo, Chief Executive Officer has 24 years of experience with the Adventist HealthCare System in a senior executive position. Mr. Colangelo graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Union College and attended graduate school at Mount St. Mary’s University. He served as Vice President of Operations for Washington Adventist Hospital. He served in this capacity until 1995, when he left to form GLOBAL CREDIT NETWORK. He also belongs to several health care related organizations including HFMA and ACA and serves as advisor to the Board of Directors of Chancellor Health Care, a senior living facility, based in Santa Rosa, California.

Diane Colangelo, President manages our long-term care efforts and directs the company’s human resource department. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Columbia Union College and a Master of Arts Degree from Andrews University, Michigan. She is a Nursing Home Administrator currently licensed in Maryland and Delaware. Before forming GLOBAL CREDIT NETWORK, Ms. Colangelo spent seven years with Adventist HealthCare most recently as the nursing home administrator for Shady Grove Adventist Nursing Center in Rockville, Maryland. She is currently a preceptor and interim administrator for Chancellor Health Care in Delmar, Delaware and serves on the Board of Directors of Chancellor Health Care, Inc.

Ben Zachariah, Vice President of Business Development has over 25 years experience in Patient Financial Services both in for profit and non-profit institutions. Mr. Zachariah graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Columbia Union College. He is a Certified Patient Account Manager (CPAM). Before joining GLOBAL CREDIT NETWORK, he was Director of Business Operations at Howard University Hospital. He was the Regional AR Manager for National Medical Care with responsibility for 10 Business Offices in the Mid-Atlantic area. He is a member of HFMA and AAHAM and served as its president for the National Capital Area Chapter for two terms. He is chairman of the legislative committee for the local chapter of AAHAM.

Martin S. Protas, General Counsel earned his J.D. degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1972 and has specialized in commercial, collection and general civil litigation. He joined GLOBAL CREDIT NETWORK in 2000 as General Counsel after serving as managing and administrative partner of his own private law practice for nearly 30 years. Mr. Protas has represented the financial interests of large and small businesses, medical practices, hospitals, banks, communication companies, utilities and both local and national corporations. He is admitted to the Bar of the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia and has taught courses for the Superior Court and Georgetown University Law Center Continuing Legal Education Program as well as for commercial legal education services in civil practice before the Courts, Collection and Commercial Litigation, trial practice, Compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and related topics for both practitioners and business interests.

Thomas Davis, Collections Director has over 20 years in the business with 12 years as a collection’s manager. Having worked for such organizations as Equifax, RMA and NCO, he is experienced in all types of collections, including Early Outs, Medical Bad Debt, Retail and Bank Card bad debt and auto deficiency. Mr. Davis brings a background in strategy development and expertise in Columbia Ultimate Collector System software. He is also responsible for overseeing system utilization and development and automated strategy design.

Eric Kaufman, Director of Operations joined GLOBAL CREDIT NETWORK in 1998. Mr. Kaufman is responsible for directing the legal operations and strategies and operates as a client liaison for existing customers. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Mr. Kaufman brings 17 years of collection knowledge to the company. He is very experienced with all aspects of collections including medical, banking, retail, commercial landlord/tenant and legal.

Jennifer Colangelo, Director of Marketing and Sales earned her degree in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech University. Ms. Colangelo joined GLOBAL CREDIT NETWORK in 2002 and currently directs and coordinates the sales and marketing department. She is responsible for developing the company’s sales and marketing strategies and operates as a client liaison for existing customers. Jennifer is also an active member of Maryland AAHAM, the American Collector’s Association, particularly its Healthcare Services Program.
